Background

65 years after Ben Pons had the idea of building a practical delivery van, we are living in a world full of VW camper van enthusiasts. Having started life as a practical workhorse, the VW camper van has developed into a truly global cult. Be it a hippy-mobile, an item of working equipment, motor home, family car or desirable collectors’ item – fans know there can only ever be one (or preferably several).

To celebrate the world premiere of the brand-new model, the Volkswagen T6, and the 65th anniversary of the Type 2, this book profiles the VW camper van and those who love it. Besides celebrities like Jacky Ickx and Johann Lafer, “Bulli Love” also presents fans from all over the world – an Indian camper-van enthusiast at a colourful holy festival, a New York youngster who earned his van by mowing lawns, and the Tokyo trio with its T3 models.

“Bulli Love” combines exclusive reportages from around the globe with first-class photographs of the camper van models and their owners. This is pure passion beautifully depicted with exceptional graphics.
